OPERATIONS MANAGER (2008 - 2012)
As a member of the operations team coordinated the start-up of two
operational areas, a new sterile filling area and a new bulk manufacturing
area. Also coordinated continuous improvement initiative across operations
and cross functionally.
. Successfully led the start-up of a bulk sterile manufacturing area
including development, qualification and process validation
. Led the start-up of a new sterile powder filling through development,
qualification and to the point of process validation
. Managed the vial inspections process improvement team which reduced
deviations by 25% by simplifying the master batch record and procedures
. Partnered cross functionally to identify second source suppliers and
qualify suppliers to reduce risk and cost

Led the bulk manufacturing team in efficient Sterile Microsphere
production. As head of a cross functional Integrated Process Improvement

MANAGER, SPIRIVA MANUFACTURING (2001 - 2005)
Led the manufacturing sub-team for the overall Spiriva Transfer Project.
Responsible for the department budgeting ($8 million not counting project
budget), staffing and training, organizational structure and operations
plan. Managed supervisors, manufacturing technicians, manufacturing
maintenance and manufacturing engineer. Participated in the overall project
as a member of the Process Transfer, Packaging, Facility and Design sub-
teams.
. Partnered with manufacturing team and design engineering consultants to
design Spiriva manufacturing area
. Coordinated with colleagues at Ingelheim, Germany site to facilitate the
training of technicians and the transfer of knowledge
. Established a training program that was praised during regulatory
inspections
. Increased per batch yield by 33% by reducing batch rejects and optimizing
changeover and operation processes, each batch had a $6 million value
MANAGER, SOLIDS MANUFACTURING (1999 - 2001)
Led solids manufacturing team and coordinated with production planning,
packaging, quality control and technical services to facilitate efficient
production to meet business demand. Responsible for $5.25 Million budget.

validation of new solids expansion with manufacturing team, development,

. Coordinated production of solids products with solids packaging, planning
and quality maintaining a service level of 95% or greater
. Reduced maintenance costs by $12 thousand for solids manufacturing by
working with process maintenance, process engineering and equipment
vendors
MANAGER, SOLIDS PACKAGING (1998 - 1999)
Led solids packaging team of 135 team members and coordinated with
production planning, packaging, quality control and technical services to
facilitate efficient production to meet business demand. Responsible for
budget of $5 million and led the team through an $11 million backorder
crisis.
. Led solids packaging team to reduce backorders from over $11 million to
consistently below $1 million and service levels above 95%
. Reduced line changeovers between products by 50% (8 hours down to 4
hours)
UNIT LEADER, SOLIDS MANUFACTURING (1994-1998)
Supervised the Solids Manufacturing granulation, mixing, and the dispensing
for both solids and liquids.
. Manage two shifts of mixing/granulation and three shifts of dispensing.
. Supervised 2 production coordinators and 30 manufacturing technicians in

VOLUNTEER
The ministry operates several sober homes in the Columbus area, meeting a
desperate need for safe, drug-free, affordable housing for men who once
lived on the streets. Crack cocaine and alcohol addictions have no respect
for racial or socio-economic boundaries; neither does The C.R.A.C.K. House.
It is a ministry made up of people of diverse backgrounds, and it serves
people who are equally diverse. It has served as a center of racial
reconciliation for many years.
