Key Responsibilities:

I’m providing a technical service onsite for drilling fluids with a various responsibilities as

mentioned below which are included, but not restricted:

o Reviews fluids program in order to prepare orders and mixing plans on site.

o Controlling mud parameters within acceptable range to avoid the variou s hole problems like

hole cleaning issues, shale problem s, pipe sticking, ect.

o Testing fluid properties and analysing and interpreting Wellsite data periodically on daily

basis with running a pilot testing on the slug pit to safe cost and time as well as achieving

the required mud properties.

o Using detailed engineering software to predict down hole characteristics, also t o suggest

better hydraulics at different values with optimum characteristics for optimizing the

drilling performance.

o Mud engineer must be aware of the stratigraphy at the rig location to be ahead of time of

any contamination source and to knows how he can deal with the expected contamination

earlier using the pre- treatment method in order to reducing the severity of contamination

and safe cost and time accordingly.

o Management mud system and evaluate its efficiency and solid control equipments and

reporting any problems observed with recommendations to fix them.

o Reporting a mud report to the client representative on a daily basis including al l data related

to the drilling fluids.

o Estimate mud materials and chemicals required for drilling each phase.

o I know different calculations related to drilling fluids.

o Mud Chemicals yard organization and periodically check to ensure chemicals availability.

Challenging Operations:

o Killing wells up to 167 pcf (22. 32 ppg) mud weight using Hematite Mud.

o Drilling wells of Minimum Stress Direction (4200 psi O/B) using 16.71 ppg OBM.

o Drilling ahead with partial/severe losses up to 250 BPH.

o Regaining full returns more than once after observing complete loss with LCM pills.

o Released Stuck Pipes using grease, glycol and lubricated mud pills up to 14,000ft.

o Drilled wells with both H2S and partial losses situations simultaneously.

o Handling both K and Na Formate mud systems while supervising centrifuge crew.

o Solving low rate of penetration and bit balling problems with a different pills.

o Switching from one type of mud to another while drilling due to inability of stopping flow

while controlling solids%.

o Maintained the desired properties in many HPHT wells up to 350 f DHT and 4200 psi Over

Balance.
