The Project Lightyear was to implement Siebel Consumer Goods' Sales

Volume Planning (SVP) and Customer Investment Transformation within

Canada, sharing a common platform with U.S. Siebel Confectionery

implementation. This project supports the business processes

surrounding trade promotion, fund accrual. and the end-to-end

planning processes relating to it. To accomplish this, 14 complex

EIM interfaces were developed. They were covered through the

following entities: Account, Vendor, Product, Catalog-Category, Price

List, Product Shipment (Actuals), Product Baseline (Open Stock), Case

Quantity, Paiment, and Target. Each of the interfaces needed to be

shielded from the US data through the use of the Siebel multi-org

capabilities. The system of reference (the source system) for this

data was for the most part an existing SAP platform.

Involved in the analysis, design and development of the overall EIM

integration solution. In order to achieve this, a framework was

developed to automatically, extract from an existing Operational Data

Store, validate and transform the source data and to propagate into

the Siebel database.

The 2006.01 release BellSouth Broadband Transformation was to

introduce Siebel UCM as a new Customer master and Asset repository

application. Close to 90 million records (Account, Billing

Information, Contact, Address and Asset) to be migrated. Involved

in the analysis, design and development of the overall migration

solution. In order to achieve this, a parser was developed to

extract from a tagged flat source file from a system called CRIS.

Some of the parsed data elements were then forwarded to Trillium for

data quality (DQ) module. Both the CRIS parsed file and Trillium

output were then merged together using Informatica to be propagated

in a series of EIM tables. These EIM tables were then populated into

Siebel base tables.

RCI has two Siebel implementations (Call Center - OLTP and Analytics

- OLAP) that were plagued by performance problems. The goal was to

track the causes of the problems and to offer sustainable solutions.

Analyzed Siebel related worked done by the outsourcing integrator

firm against deliverables recommended by Siebel eRoadmap methodology.

Produced an executive assessment on the state of the Siebel Analytics

This new Siebel installation was to replace an aging Lotus Notes

custom-made opportunity tracking system with Siebel eBusiness 2000

for Gore's sales force. It also needed to integrate with legacy JDE

system.

Gathered data integration requirements and created over 40 different

mappings files to accomplish migration between Lotus Notes and JDE

and Siebel application.
