Skills
LVN
(Expert) More than 10 Years
I have had twelve yaers experience as an LVN in many different settings within the medical profession. I am very
proficient in communication skills with patients. I have ER,ICU,IMCU,TELEMETRY skills for any urgent situation that may
arise. I also have the ability to joke and do what needs to be done to calm the patient no matter what the age. I love
working with people and doing patient teaching. I love to encourage patients to be self relianant and accountable for their
diagnosis, even through Chemotherapy. I have been a Team leader on many floors reporting to the DON and giving
report to the incoming staff in the Hospital and ER. I am capable of alot of skills that would be valuable to the
Member
Physician. I can incorporate the anatomy and physiology into a triage situation, report signs and symptoms to the
Physician for orders. My documentation is written so that Malpractice and HIPPA are in mind to protect the Physician and
the patient.
CMA
(Expert) 3 to 4 Years
My ablilities as a CMA are as that of my LVN skills but, I have been exposed to the world of computers that have made
the experience of being in the medical profession a great learning experience. I also was exposed to the billing /medical
portion of a small practice. The ability to learn is ongoing and continual throughout life. I have been exposed to several
Programs in this small practice. First, Practice Management that took in patient demographics, insurance information,
portion of this was for billing and I learned to go into this portion to find out last billed date for 485's, patients outstanding
bills, and what insurance paid on a particular office visit. Delete old information or appointments and enter the
correction, schedule patients, know the difference between true credit and outstanding. Second, Micro MD EMR was
able to enter the patients Pharmacy information, send medications to the pharmacy via e-script, controlled were called
into the pharmacy, allergies, patients CC/CO, complete my portion of the pages then pass it on to the physician for him/her
to complete the encounter. We had two offices so, there would unidentifieds on our side of the EMR in regards to e-
scripts that would need to be identified and pulled back to our side and for them to pull theirs to their side. Third,
Welch Allen Program that ran the EKG's and PFT's off a laptop. The patients demographics would be entered so that
when the test was done the patients identity would print out on the exam results.
