• Field Engineering
o Territory includes downtown Atlanta and all suburban cities/towns within an 80 mile radius.
o Accurately engineer all aspects of Comcast Business and Residential jobs (Metro-E Fiber,
Commercial, MDU, SFU, Span Replacement, Can-We-Serve, Plant Extension, etc.) in a timely
fashion to meet assigned turnaround times.
o Work directly with Comcast Construction Coordinators, POC’s, and various other utility company
contacts to field and permit the most advantageous route.
o Record aerial span lengths, document pole ownership, transformer locations, and attachment heights
in order to comply with NESC guidelines.
o Determine best method for underground construction (i.e. trench, bore, cut asphalt/concrete, etc.)
o Document existing plant (aerial and underground) to keep records up to date as well as to provide
customers sufficient signal strength.
o Draft all findings in a clear and concise manner to ensure construction can build off of the drawing
(examples available upon request).
o Perform Metro-E Fiber Surveys giving Comcast cost estimate of a potential job.
