Project management for the production of custom circuit boards, from design to
manufacture; oversight of vendor work on behalf of clients to assure high quality of custom
boards and final product assembly.

Founded Leo Meyers Design to meet industry demand for printed circuit board designs.
Began in the pre-CAD era with manual preparation of designs, and progressed to digitizing
and photoplotting, until board shops began performing their own film creation.

Leveraged my considerable expertise with CAD programs to design custom lighting fixture
builds for Philips Daybrite; incorporated standard parts in the development of innovative
products.
Assembled parts lists for manufacturing.
IRVINE SENSORS CORPORATION Manager, Hardware Development
March 1999 – July 2007
Served as design lead for circuit boards to be used in such notable products as PIG, an
electromechanical pipeline inspection device for the Eveready Corporation; LADAR, a night
vision radar camera used by the United States Air Force; and an electronic Dog Tag for the
United States Army, which stored biological information on military personnel.
Assured completion and quality control of circuit boards and final product assemblies for
customers.
Assisted in the final assembly and testing of products designed by Irvine Sensors.
March 1997 – March 1999 Consultant
Served as a consultant exclusively for Irvine Sensors Corporation in the design of circuit
boards for such products as the VIP/Balboa Image Processing Board system and the Silicon
Film camera. Was hired permanently as Manager, Hardware Development, in Ma rch 1999.
AFFEX CORPORATION Co-Owner, VP of Engineering, and Sales Manager
June 1995 – March 1997
Designed, developed, and manufactured the AFFEX CD printer; oversaw marketing and sales
of the product. Sold my share of the company in 1997.
