As Manager of Procurement, I ensured the procurement of all equipment,
materials, and services at the lowest evaluated cost. Monitors procurement
activities and takes appropriate action(s) to assure that the inquiry
cycle, approvals and commitments are consistent with project goals in

2008-2014 Project Manager

Director Procurement & Projects
Responsibilities included day-to-day supervision of Procurement and Project
Managers. While accepting responsibility for all phases of the project,
recognized that the various department managers have ultimate
responsibility, through the assigned managing and lead project team
members. Worked with both Procurement and Project Managers to assure
adherence to internal process and client requirements and accounted for
meeting schedule and maintaining or exceeding the FEP for each project.
Major Projects handled during these periods
Yanpet Saudi Arabia:
Supervised the procurement and project management efforts on nine (9)
Ethylene Cracking Heaters for Saudi Yanbu. Resulting in 10% cost savings,
on time delivery and increased FEP
Chevron Port Arthur, TX:
Supervised the procurement and project management efforts on revamp of nine
Ethylene Cracking convection section revamp consisting of full replacement
of convection sections and addition of SCR with the convection banks. The
project was completed ahead of schedule under budget and increased FEP.
BASF Fina Port Arthur, TX
Supervised the procurement and project management efforts on nine (9)
Ethylene Cracking Heaters for BASF Fina. Resulting in 10% cost savings, on
time delivery and increased FEP
SECCO, Shanghai, China
Acted as Project Manager and supervised procurement efforts on (9) Ethylene
Cracking Heaters for SECCO, Shanghai, China. On this project state of the
art low NOx burners were developed at the request of BP
1989-1996 Petro-Chem Development Corp, NYC, NY

I managed small to medium sized projects for Process Heaters. Applied

Some of the projects handled during this period
Honam Petrochemical, Korea
Supplied one (1) 6,000,000BTU double cell Crude Heater, which was the
largest Crude Heater at that time to Honam Petrochemical. Project was
executed on time under budget and increased FEP
Mitsubishi, for Samsung, Korea
Supplied various process heaters to Samsung, Korea for their plant
expansion. Project was executed on time under budget and increased FEP
PEMEX, Mexico
Headed a study for the revamp of CCR Heaters at six locations for PEMEX in
Mexico. This consisted of supervising our Process Engineers who were
obtaining operating information, coordination with the client at each of
the refineries, supervise procurement for pricing and engineering of
conceptual drawings representing the changes required.
Manager of Operations
Under the direction of the President-Owner of Petro-Chem Development
managed operations of Procurement, Engineering and Project Management.
Additional responsibilities included proposals sales, and project execution
for revamps of process heaters and spare parts. During this tenure he was
also assigned as Vice President of American Econotherm in Tulsa, OK, his
duties included overseeing the opening of the office and coordination of
actives between Tulsa and NY offices
