Custodial Worker

Responsibilities

Cleaning classrooms, offices, and bathrooms nightly on an as needed basis. I was also a part of the summer

help cleaning crew. During my summer cleaning time I would scrub the classrooms from top to bottom and

remove all furniture. Afterwards we would strip and wax the classroom floors. We would then put all the furniture

back in place.

Accomplishments

My accomplishments as a custodian include effectively cleaning assigned areas as well as personally gaining

a strong work ethic and appreciation for hard work.

Consistency and diligence were the main skills I demonstrated in this position.

Instructional Assistant

Responsibilities

Assists the teacher by gathering students together in a time effective and behaviorally acceptable manner.

Grading papers, homework, exams, etc., as well as making copies of needed extra material. Assist in assuring

the physical, academic, and emotional well-being of each student. Conducting small groups for learning.

Monitoring behavior in the lunchroom and recess. Proctoring state wide assessment exams.

Accomplishments

Aside from effectively taking part in the education of each child, I feel that my biggest accomplishment has

been bestowing compassion upon the student body. I've made it my goal day in and day out to be sure that

every child I encounter walks away with the knowledge that I care about them and that they have an advocate

in their corner. This has not only aided in the growth of the children, but my own personal growth as well.

The main skills I've demonstrated at this job include behavior diffusing, classroom operations, and assessing

psychological situations.
