Mathematics, algorithms, instruction, & reports for the Global Positioning System (GPS)
dealing with navigation, satellite orbits, & spread spectrum communications
●Invented an algorithm to align the pseudo random noise chipping sequence to their
data bit - on par with the Viterbi one, but 10 times simpler computationally
●Calculated the GPS orbits in Earth-Centered, Earth-Fixed coordinates from ephemeris
parameters
●Developed a Kalman Filter - improved the PVT (position, velocity, clock bias) 10-fold
●Designed Runge-Kutta & Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg orbit propagators - numerical methods
to solve the differential equation describing the orbits
●Solved the GPS equations via Bancroft’s way & derived the Doppler velocity solution
●Designed Viterbi decoders to ascertain the efficacy of inter-satellite communications
●Solved anomalies presented by the California Division & introduced Bancroft's solution

Systems Engineer Aug 2000 - Jan 2001
Intern Aug 1998 - Jan 1999
Mathematics & algorithms for forward error correction decoders to correct mistakes in
data between cellular phones, satellites, & ground stations
●Instructed engineers, Monte-Carlo simulations, parallel processing, Turbo Codes
●Designed a S-Random interleaver that reduced the bit error rate 100-fold
●Presented results, documented the program, & the Air Force granted the contract
