developing software to automate the CAD process, designing of systems &
products and generating CNC code automatically from CAD drawings. Possess
vast knowledge of construction. Skilled in creative problem solving in both
strategic and tactical areas.
~ Maintained consistency in the quote and manufacturing process and made
the department error free from 30% error rate to 1% at Hill-Rom ~
~ Successfully authored & maintained Gemini Software Systems (a rules based
parametric system) which increased the production by 36% and reduced error
rate from 20% to 1% at Hill-Rom ~
~ Achieved success in creating software used to design, quote and
manufacture products at Hill-Rom ~
~ Successfully created a series of LISP routines to assist architects and
skillfully provided technical support to approximately 80 CAD operators /

Professional Experience
Hill-Rom, Inc., Batesville, IN Since Mm 1998
Hill-Rom primarily makes hospital patient beds and Headwall systems for the
services provided to the patient. i.e. emergency/normal outlets, gases like
Oxygen, Air and Vacuum. It has 6000 to 8000 employees.
Senior Systems Administrator / Software Engineer
Responsible for developing the Headwall system & its labels for shipping
with VB.net, VBA, VB6 & Excel, to design & quote the product and to
generate factory data that includes cut sheets & CNC codes (a computer data
that is imported to various machines for milling, punching, routing and
bending metal and other materials). Involved in designing and developing
the system used by project managers and engineers based on their processes.
Major Contributions
< Maintained consistency in the quote and manufacturing process and made
the department error free from 30% error rate to 1% mostly because of the
developed system; re-invented processes from quote to manufacturing data:
o The system regularly accounts for any discrepancies as it is
designed and developed based on the company's needs and
generates the manufacturing data automatically which provides
the factory with cut sheets for assembly of the product
o Process is now 4 times more efficient and products are sent to
the customer on time
< Achieved 100% success in creating software that is used to design, quote
and manufacture the products; AutoCAD front end with VB.NET, VBA and
LISP.
< Successfully authored & maintained Gemini Software Systems (a rules based
parametric system) which increased the production by 36% and reduced
error rate from 20% to 1%:
o The system is used for generating design & drawings and
extracting information for quoting & generating factory cut
sheets from this design for manufacturing & shipping labels
< Efficiently utilized the latest Microsoft development tools such as
VB.NET, VB.net for AutoCAD, database such as Access & Oracle and created
Excel spreadsheets which use VBA to import & calculate data
automatically.
< Skillfully provided training and technical support for general all-round
departmental technical support.
< Effectively used AutoLISP for quoting, and/or then manufacturing of
medical headwall services, providing components and designed Quote
Program using Visual Basic (VB6) and Crystal Reports.
< Utilized the vast knowledge in network systems & extensive experience in
Oracle for the growth of the company and currently developing new version
in VB.Net.
