E lect r ical/Mechanical Technician (2/99 - 9/03)
On the San Francisco Municipal bus project, I led a team that was
recognized for excellent work performance as well as meeting crucial
deadlines. I performed as well as t rained employees in wire harness
assembly, soldering, t roubleshooting, small and large component assembly.
I led the team that assembled municipal bus roof units which consisted of
h igh and low voltage wi ring. The team and I measured, cut crimped and
connected wire gauges ranging from 22 gauge to 315. I performed quality
assurance checks and routine inspections of roof units. I used engineering
d rawings and hands on inspection to make necessary structural changes to
roof units, drivers’ barrier, digital display housings, bus seatings, interior
l ighting, forward and aft doors, kieppe assembly to bus assembly, and
t ruck assembly and housing for New Jersey Comet t rains. I wrote the
detailed and complete process book for all roof unit area functions. I also
d id light tube bending and light steel cutting for various bus modifications.
I met with project manager on a routine basis to discuss and plan product
scheduling, delays, unit progress, and employee progress. I attended and
completed supervisory t raining. I consulted with engineers in making
changes that would better improve function ability, efficiency and overall
p roduct. I also consolidated a major portion of wires to make a complete
and whole harness which was used as a master harness given to an outside
vendor and copied to increase employee efficiency, speed, and make the
p rocess easier for all employees.
