PERTINENT EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
October 2008 - Present
Field Systems Administrator/Lean Coordinator
Menlo Worldwide Logistics - Burton Snowboards/Phoenix Brands
As a Systems Administrator I implement new systems configuration, conduct
user acceptance testing, develop standard operation procedures/work
instructions, and then train personnel on new processes and system changes.
I specialize in data analysis, SQL server report writing (via SSRS),
process analysis, and systems/hardware troubleshooting. I
create/troubleshoot MS Access databases and MS Excel macros. Experience
with Menlo has given me exposure to an array of clientele and their
different business strategies.
As a Lean Coordinator I coordinate with internal and external customers to
identify waste, implement improvements, and eliminate improficiencies. I
manage/direct monthly continuous improvement projects (kaizen) by selecting
teams, determining scope, creating charter documents, collecting and
analyzing current/future state data, developing and implementing
countermeasures, verifying results, then reporting projects to senior
management and clients via A3 reporting. All events are structured using
the PDCA approach. I track and report lean project plans (via MS Project),
develop and maintain semi-annual Value Stream Maps and Shikumi diagrams at
both the macro and micro levels (via EVSM). In addition to these
responsibilities I conduct monthly management/leadership and associate lean
training. During my years of Lean application, I have managed over 30
events resulting in over 1.25 million dollars in cost savings through small
incremental improvements.
I began my 3PL journey in inventory management from 2008 to 2010. I was
promoted to Lean Coordinator from 2010 to 2013. As of October 2013, I was
promoted to the title of Systems Administrator while still obtaining my
duties as a Lean Coordinator. During this experience, I also have been
responsible for accounts payable, purchase orders, and accruals. I have
assisted with customer service, as well as provided assistance to shipping
and receiving when needed.
I love being challenged and learning new disciplines. I am often referred
to as the "Jack of all Trades."
