EDUCATION

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Madison, WI

University of Wisconsin–Madison, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department

GPA: 3.6/4.00, May 2014

Academic projects:

•A Probabilistic Approach to Image Segmentation in Image Sequences: Classified pixels in image

sequences by using expectation-maximization algorithm. Proposed an application of method to

segment the vehicles in traffic monitoring systems.

•Robust Radar Detection in Gaussian Noise: Determined the best method among Pseudo- random

sequence, Cross method (2 chirps) and Incidence method (3 chirps) to detect targets where

Gaussian noise presents. Performed detailed error performance analysis and proposed a novel

equivalent hypothesis testing for cross method.

•Guided and Bilateral Filter Performance Analysis for Edge Enhancement: Proposed parameter

selection criteria for smoothing and denoising purposes after analysis of edge preserving properties

and gradient reversal artifacts by comparing PSNR and MSE under different Gaussian noise levels.

•Image Segmentation in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT): Developed an image

segmentation algorithm to analyze the sub surface images of fundus of an eye obtained by OCT.

Obtained a better layer segmentation for analyzing purposes.

Coursework:
