City of Vermilion, Vermilion, OH 10/2012 to Present

Assistant Finance Clerk

I started off as an intern with the city, during which time I worked both in the finance and utility departments. During

my internship I learned new accounting software that various forms of government use called E-Gov Professional.

While on my internship I was exposed to the daily operations of both departments and was trained in the most

important of the daily functions of each department. After my internship (near Thanksgiving), I was offered a part-time

position with the city working in the finance department (started in Dec. 2012), which later lead to a permanent part-

time position with the city due to my skills and downsizing in the city office (as of May 2013). Work all the areas of AP,

reconcile receipts and make deposits on the AR side, reconcile payroll and perform various administrative duties in the

finance department. As a result of the downsizing, I now help out in the utilities department when needed or to cover

vacations. In this part of the job, my customer service knowledge and experience is expanded, reconcile daily drawer

and other deposits, operate credit card machine and perform various administrative duties as well.
