Developed scientific workflow applications using the Accelrys EKB/Pipeline Pilot software
for purposes of data collection of process parameter and generation of process reports.
Developed ETL solutions for data transfer into the EKB data mining solution.
Customized the EKB data mining solution to handle multi-dimensional data analysis
including complex graphics, multiple report formats, and a novel user interface to extend the
usability of the data mining solution.
FOLLETT SOFTWARE COMPANY, (McHenry, IL) 2010-2012
A provider of K-12 education software for managing school administration tasks and facilitating the
teacher/student relationship with new technologies.
Systems Analyst/Developer
Supported internal operations by designing, developing, and implementing a data warehouse
solution to replace their current outdated and maintenance intensive data reporting methodologies.
Developed and deployed a Siebel/Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
business analytics application by customizing the physical database, logical database, and
presentation layers to address corporate needs.
Developed and configured the Siebel/OBIEE Client Interface application for EBS
authentication, APEX for authorization, dashboard presentations, performance and variety
of screen displays.
Developed, tested, and deployed customized Informatica ETL data pipelines and workflows
to provide the underlying dimension data model required by the Siebel application.
Developed web-based registration/reporting applications using Oracle Application Express
(APEX) and BI Publisher to meet short term data management issues for internal clients.
Developed Excel VBA applications to provide for automated data entry and validation of
quota and budget data targeted for the data warehouse.

A software provider of scientific data management and workflow solutions to the pharmaceutical
industry, now part of Accelrys, Inc.
Principal Consultant
Provided strategic, technical, and software services to support the delivery of business critical
applications to the global pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Provided technical leadership for a software development team, including outsourced code
developers, to deliver a time-critical registration system to the customer for on-schedule
deployment to their scientific user community.
Performed application programming with Visual Studio .NET C# and VB source code
development to facilitate assembly and on-time delivery of core applications.
Integrated application components and streamlined the downstream workflows between a
variety of in-house and third-party applications for delivery of a fully functional processes.
Aligned software products with customer requirements for a chemical registration system by
performing a functional gap analysis, risks evaluations, and then proposing technical
solutions to address the product limitations without adversely affecting the customer’s
expectations or the product infrastructures.
Developed and executed quality assurance programs for testing thick client and web-based
applications prior to delivery to the customers for deployment.
Designed, revised, and deployed Oracle databases in support of scientific application
development.
o Planned, implemented, and tested a variety of Oracle database solutions for use in
scientific applications including chemical informatics, biological informatics,
inventory, and workflow applications.
o Performed extensive development of Oracle SQL/PL to implement the target
database objectives to reduce application coding efforts, centralize data business
rules, and improve database structure for improved searching ability.
o Developed Oracle Row-Level Security systems for a variety of applications to
consolidate record security at the database level rather than in the application code
for improved modularity and reduced code complexity.
Worked as the project manager for delivery of several small projects including write-up of
the initial proposals, determination of project timetables, resource allocations, problem
management, delivery, and acceptance by the clients.
Produced administrative manuals, installation manuals, user manuals, end user training
courses, and application help files as part of the software deliverables for customer
satisfaction.
