Personal Testimony
I gave my heart to Jesus Christ on April 15, 1968 during Revival services with Evangelist Ray
Sadler. My father was a pastor for just over 40 years before he passed away in 1994. My
mother, who lives nearby in northern Orlando, continues to be a source of strength in my life.
Both had a strong influence in my upbringing and a reason for my desire to serve in Christian
service today.
God called me into the ministry of teaching and church related work as a sophomore in High
School. I immediately became involved in several local ministry opportunities including Youth
for Christ and the Edgewater High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Most of my time
was spent in music and my College degree was in Music Education.
In the late 1980’s I married the love of my life and we now have two wonderful children that
have both given their hearts to Jesus Christ and are active and involved in serving Christ. My
family has always been, and remains to this day, to be very supportive of my work.
I have always been involved in sports and enjoy participating in competitive sports as well as
coaching them. It is a joy for me to pass along what I have learned in my life through athletics,
and through my walk with Jesus Christ to the generation coming in behind us. I believe one of
the greatest avenues we can build and shape lives is in athletics. I believe in building
relationships that will last, for not only a lifetime, but also for eternity. My relationship with
Jesus Christ is the most important one to me. My relationship with my wife and children is the
next most important one I have. And my relationship with my employer follows those.
I simply want to live each day for God, and God alone. His guidance and leading me has been
wonderful throughout the years. I have a burden for the lost and a desire to reach people with the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. I want His will to be done in my life however He may choose to use me.
My background in coaching is a tremendous tool in leading a young man or woman to a deeper
walk with Him.
I am grateful for my salvation and the place God is using me. One of my desires over the years
is to coach at the College level and face the challenges that come with that position. With God’s
strength I know I can achieve great things for Him and for the institution that He may place me.
May Jesus Christ be praised!
