Instrumental in opening this new property in Sept. 2010. As General Manager my responsibilities prior to the hotel opening included ensuring all Marriott brand standards were considered in decisions of what was ordered to supply the hotel. As we did not have a franchise opening team I was responsible for placing the opening supply order, held a job fair and from that hired all hotel staff. I was responsible for the ramp up and opening of the hotel as related to all Sales activity. Participated in financial activities such as developing the competitive set, setting room rates, the establishment and management of the hotel budget.

After the opening of the hotel I was responsible for all operations of the hotel. Providing an excellent guest experience while maximizing our profit was critical to the success of the hotel. The first year of operation the hotel rated in the top 10 of over 600 Fairfield Inn & Suites for overall guest satisfaction while meeting revenue goals set by our franchise company.

Instrumental in opening this new property in October of 2008. Assisted in establishing vendors, hiring and training all staff, with the General Manager responsible for day to day operation of the hotel. Ensuring QA readiness both for the opening inspection and the yearly inspection. The TownePlace Suites won hotel of the year for 2010.
