Supporting/managing SQL Server (2005, 2008/R2) and Oracle(10g, 11g R2)

database servers for 24x7 availability; Troubleshooting, monitoring and

fixing performance issues; new implementations/installations of SQL or

Oracle engines/instances; delivering database artifacts related to

security & investigations to State and Federal agencies like RMV, DMV and

County Sheriff's offices. Along with hands-on DBA work, I have been

Oracle Responsibilities: Have been the Primary Support Oracle DBA for the

State of NJ MVC, RI DMV and SIMS (Secured Inventory Management System) used

Installation/Migration/Upgrade Projects Performed:

Migrated SIMS Production Oracle database from 10.2 to 11g R2 (11.2.0.3.0)

Helped Oracle DBAs assigned to the state of IL in a similar Oracle

migration project. I worked on setting up an Active Data Guard on a test

environment and then documented the whole process which was then followed

Created a Test environment for WI DMV, taking a metadata export from the

Production database and setting up a new database on a VM on MorphoTrust

domain; fixed public synonyms after the import for applications to work

correctly (March 2013)

Fixed SCAN Listener issues RAC One Node Database of State of NJ where a

wrong Setup was making SCAN Listeners not registering Database Services

after a Failover (December 2013)

Fixed the Archive Log Backup Issue of the CIS Database where a target

location on a USB drive was the cause of the failure; found it by analyzing

the logs and contacting Oracle Support Engineers.

Did many new Installations of Oracle 11gR2 on both of Windows 2003/2008 64-

bit, Windows XP/7 (32-bit) and Linux environments.(x86 based Fedora 16)
