to C (Business to Customer) applications. Thomson, first choice, Falcon and cruise are BtoC

applications; Wish (Web in shops) is BtoB application.

WISH

Web in Shops (WISH) is a project to deliver the iScape platform to the Thomson & First choice

retail estates, call centers and 3rd party travel agents. In effect the transfer of those search and

book activities which would have been conducted on T.O.P to the iScape platform. There is

currently a wide range of functionality and product that exists on the T.O.P. system which is not

available on the existing B2C version of the Power search website. This B2B website will

become the only selling system for Thomson product for these channels and T.O.P. will be turned

off and all the functionality available on the web in shops system.

Web in Shops does require additional functionality from the iScape platform compared to the

public web offering such as agent sign-on, late searches, etc. Agent can sell the all type of web

packages (Accommodation only, Thomson, First Choice, Falcon, Portland packages & Cruise.

Packages) along with insurance by using WISH application. WISH Application triggers email of

short listed holidays to customers, more over customer can call to call centre and enquire about

the holidays whatever he/she wants.

WISH uses the inventories like TRACS, Power search, and EPIC databases to get the holiday

availability & complete details and stored in VISION database.

Insurance supplier change: - The project aim is change the old Insurance supplier (Mondial) of

Thomson to new supplier (AXA) so the insurance section text changes and functionalities

changes are implemented in this project. All the functionalities and regression tests are performed

in this project for all the B to B and B to C applications.

Project description:

This product is developed on .Net and MS Sql as a back end.

This Project contains three modules Admin, Underwriter and Agent.

Admin: This user will have full access rights to the system. User will have ability to provide

access and privileges to other users.

Agent: This user works for a carrier and will have ability to validate application, generate quote

etc.

Underwriter: This user is employee of Insurance Company and will perform all insurance

transactions in system.

The goal of the Agent Writer application is to provide the ability of dynamically controlling the

volume and submissions of the new business and policy processing transactions using SAAS

model for the end users, namely the agents, underwriters and staff members.

This objective is achieved through the ability of the Rules Engine that provides the intelligence

and validation logic for the transactions from the graphical user interface (GUI). The maintenance

and creation of custom rules to alter the behavior of the system shall be provided to selective

users with appropriate roles with privileges.

Such maintenance and creation of the rules is performed using natural language programming

(NLP) like convention using plain English based intuitive interface.

Rules thus captured via the rules engine will be used for system analytics and performance

metrics. These statistics shall be used for rendering custom dashboards and reports to aid the

executive management towards decision making for underwriting departments, marketing

department, agency relationship maintenance and strategic operations group.
