To obtain a Position as Intellectual Property Docketing Manager

EMPLOYMENT

IP Patent Administrator 6/2007 - Present

GOODWIN & PROCTER, LLP

Washington, DC

Send out the daily dockets every morning. Move dates and answer all

questions regarding intellectual property matters. Communicate with

clients regarding outstanding annuities and maintenance fees and instruct

payment through CPI. Maintain the PTO Deposit and American Express

accounts. Open new client/matter numbers. Review all filings to the

Patent and Trademark Office. Open and docket all U.S., foreign and

trademark mail. Maintain a Patent and Trademark mail log entry. Send out

monthly dockets every month. Correspond with foreign associates and

clients regarding outstanding due dates. Insert time into CMS for any

billable time that occurs. Reconcile invoices and prepare check requests

for outstanding foreign invoices. Create reports for clients and staff.

Travel to other offices to help out in the docketing departments. Docket

all foreign trademark matters for the Boston and New York Offices. Keep up

with the rules and changes with the Patent and Trademark Office and other

responsibilities that are in an Intellectual Property Law Firm.

Send out the daily dockets every morning to the McLean, Richmond and DC

offices; printed and organized the monthly dockets and distributed them to

the appropriate offices; cleared entries off for the docket for all

offices; docketed all Patent and Trademark filings each day; opened and

docketed all mail; opened new matters into the docketing system and other

duties in an Intellectual Law Firm Docketing Department.

Managed and supervised a staff of nine employees for the DC, Boston and

Chicago offices. Provided evaluations and counseling for employees.

Maintained all docketing procedures and policies in the four offices of

Portland, Chicago, Boston and DC. Provided training and development for

staff to familiarize with scope of the procedures necessary to complete

assignments. Approved requests for staff vacations and personal leave;
