Wonderware Integration with Connectgaia (Smart Solution from KLG Systel)

Connectgaia is Hardware & Software Solution for Smart Energy Management from KLG Systel

Managed by Connectgaia SBU. Connectgaia is being used in Water/Waste Water and Energy

Management Solution Industry. It was needed to have integration between Connectgaia & SCADA

Solution at some level to share intelligence among these solutions. I was part of the team which

designed the software solution to achieve integration between Connectgaia and Wonderware; In fact

with any SCADA Package.

areas of the plant. In Production area they have Wonderware and Packaging GE Proficy. Infosys is

supporting Supply chain applications since four year. Now client wants support and consultancy in

specially manufacturing applications. In Consulting they want to analysis the gaps in the application and

standardisation framework for long term goal and will be deployed globally in all the plants.

Title: Cable tracking Application

Size: 10 members Duration: 08 Months

Client / End User: World leader for Oilfield services industry Location: Northern America

Role: Sr. Consultant and Technical manager (Offshore)

Project Details: Client has the legacy non-scalable application for tracking the cable manufacturing and

Inventory management. This was working on silo with no integration with ERP (SAP) and shop floor

system. Operator Manual intervention requires which increased erroneous production data collection and

loss of productivity.

We have done the consultancy for detailed study of existing application and identifying improvement

opportunities with product fitment. Mapped SAP ME functionalities to existing processes, building

prototype followed by multiple demo and signoff. We have done Configuration of SAP ME modules

(Routing, Maintenance, Material maintenance, data collection and production operator Dashboards) to

meeting the shop floor requirement. We have designed the solution in scalable form by this design next

deployment with 40% reusability factor and shop floor integration by using the SAP PCO.

Title: Steel coil tracking in Cold Rolling Mill

Team Size: 5 members Duration: 08 Months

Client / End User: South African leader in Steel manufacturing Location: South Africa

Software: Wonderware MES and System platform, SAP MII

Project Details: This application is developed by using Wonderware’s Factelligence (operation &

performance software) MES package. Cold roll mill schedule on the basis of the Job order. These job

orders are generated by the ERP system on the basis of the current order book & shop floor condition.

The shop floor condition provided given by our MES system.

The raw material in this case is HRC (Hot Roll Coil). The ERP system handle material status, ERP provide

the purchase order & production order in MES system.

There we provide full MES functionality for Metal industry; The MES functionalities will provide order

management, tracking, quality, test data collection etc. The solution thus provided will connect to PLC

interfaces and other 3rd party PC based systems on the plant floor and to planning systems ERP.

MES utilize the SAP XMII for integration with SAP & for PLC integration we will used the OPC server.

Events using production module as per client requirement. We have done the changes in Configuring

Movement and Genealogy modules for Storage tanks, Contimix tanks, and Mix tanks and Configured the

Movement modules and Genealogy modules for packaging process, Validated the Production Events,

Product Change Events and CIP Events with plant process.

Work Order is downloaded base on the line, after that system allocated the work order in defined sequences as

Project Details: Infusion Plant is provided to reduce the tendency of globules to clump or coalesce

(mixing). Homogenization diminishes/reduces creaming. Project consists following activities:
