The project “COMAP” is aimed to identify potential site for placer mineral exploration along the

Andhra Pradesh coastal sectors using

The advanced credentials available with geospatial technology lik e Remote Sensing data’s

like, GEOEYE, CARTOSAT - 1, LISS – IV, ASTER, etc. The data’s are visually interpreted

and processed in GIS software package combined with DGPS Surveyed GCP points.

Carry out field survey to collect inland sand samples in the anomalous areas demarcated by

Remote Sensing and GIS studies to locate the potential zones for placer mineral exploration

along Andhra Pradesh coastal sectors.

Title SEA LEVEL CHANGE AND ITS IMPLICATION ON THE CAUVERY

DELTAIC REGION, TAMIL NADU, INDIA – A GEOMATICS APPROACH

Role Visualization and implication of sea level changes on Cauvery deltaic region.

Description The main objective is to work with high-resolution data in the East coast of

Tamil Nadu region. The other sub-objective is to meet the main objective are

as follows,

Preparation of detailed Geomorphological and Identification of strand plain (beach

ridges, swales etc complexes.

Preparation of detailed Landuse / Landcover map using LISS IV data.

Collection of literatures on Holocene sea level changes of Cauvery deltaic region.

Collection of Data on Future Sea Level Rise due to global warming

Generation of High Resolution DEM using Cartosat – 1 data.

Integration of all the above and brought out the implication of sea level changes over the

Cauvery deltaic region in Past, Present and Future
