Electro-Mechanical Assembler

. Complete mechanical assembly and wiring Airborne Power and Control

units with detailed mechanical drawing, schematics and Wire lists.

. Assemble cable to measure length using crimp tools for pin in

connector. Rework and repair defected units. Solder wires with

soldiering iron as need on assembles.

. Systems Test electrical and mechanical operational functions, made

alignment, adjustments and repairs as needed. Built test sets and jigs

to test systems functions.

. Worked request for changes on prototype equipment in development stage

on sub-assemblies.

. Assisted engineers with writing mechanical alignment procedures for US

Postal Service systems.

Selected Accomplishment: Made major modification to system main support

frame; created, cut and installed new sub-assembly (USPS). Result:

Reduced jams and maximized sorting.

Problem Solving

. Possess excellent interpretation skills of drawings, electrical

schematics, and assembly prints.

. Troubleshot pneumatics, Mac valves, and vacuum pumps for mis-located

air leaks, etc.

Selected Accomplishment: Pneumatic lines had leaks and would come loose,

found that

System had standard and metric fitting with all metric hoses changed all

Research and Development

. Selected to construct prototype assemblies including: cables, wiring

harnesses, sub-assemblies and soldering to repaired/modified printed

circuit boards and cables.

. As Engineer Technician, supported research and development, performed

new part efficiency testing and electrical mechanical procedures.

. As a Machinist, modified new parts from raw material, tested parts for

full life cycle performance.

Selected Accomplishment: Doing life cycle testing discovered that parts

were breaking, from

Machine vibration and torque, had to have new parts made with more

reinforcement.

Result: Discovery prevented in field down time and customer

dissatisfaction.
