Objective:
To acquire a position where I can utilize my passion for technical problem
solving to contribute to and learn from a positive, creative team.
Technical Skills:
Driven and excited professional with experience writing applications and
plug-ins using C# .net, Java, and Visual Basic through Visual Studio and
netbeans. Solid foundation in object oriented design, with a basic
understanding agile methodologies. Working knowledge of MVC, JavaScript,
WinForms, SQL Server, MySQL, as well as lower level programming languages
like ANSI C, and C++. Extensive background in drafting, 3D modeling, and
manufacturing machine programming using Autodesk Inventor, Autocad, and
Alpha Cam, Router CIM and Microvellum.
Background:
After years of working my way up from manufacturing through mechanical
drafting and 3D modeling, I developed an excitement for coding, and went
back to school to peruse a career in software development. As my schooling
completes I am writing .net add-ins for the Autodesk Inventor API that are
relied on by my department daily. Wherever I have worked I have always had
a reputation for being a cooperative, easy to work with team member who is
always focused on the success of the group.
Personal:
I enjoy life in Loveland Colorado, and play all over the state. I love
trail running, hiking, white water kayaking, camping, backpacking, but most
of all spending time with my wife and two kids. I have recently joined a
local hackerspace where I get to pursue many of my creative hobbies from
coding, to 3d modeling/3d printing to welding and metal fabrication.

High Country Millwork October 2011 - Present
Engineer
As an Engineer for High Country I have been responsible for writing custom
.net API based add-ins for drafting software including Autodesk Inventor
and Autocad. These add-ins are distributed and used by the 15+ person
engineering department and are critical to the daily operations. I design
and implement cataloging systems for our current Oracle based ERP/MRP
system, as well as the perform the day to day drafting, engineering and
cut-billing required to take a job from a bid through installation.

- Production Manager
My responsibilities as production manager included overseeing daily
production operations, scheduling, shipping, creating and
implementing an Intertek certified quality control program.
- I.T. manager
Creating and maintaining the IT infrastructure of a start-up manufacturing
business, using cloud based systems to allow employees to access and
collaborate on technical or clerical data while focusing on balancing
between scalability, and start-up cost.
Genesis Innovations February 2006 - August 2010
Department Lead
As department lead I programmed CNC machines, drafted, created production
schedules and was the direct supervisor of between 3 and 6 other employees.
I was also responsible for writing and maintaining VBA add-ins for our CAD
CAM software, as well as choosing and implementing new technologies to
improve production.

Coursework completed for Associates in Computer Information Systems with a
Programming Emphasis- I am completing my final semester and I will have
receive my degree at the end of the summer 2014 semester.

Completed 3 years toward a Psychology degree before coming to the
conclusion that it was not the right field for me.
