Project Experience :

Project 1 : Global Information Warehouse(GIW) - December 2011- October 2013

GIW is the global repository for all the Custody/Funds related data for Citi. Our team

was responsible for loading the Securities specific data coming from different

heterogeneous sources and giving it to various downstream systems (Data Marts)

which was further used for reporting purposes.

Project 2 : Single Point of Entry(SPE) - November 2013 – Present

Single Point of Entry(SPE) is a strategic initiative to create a bidirectional connectivity

hub to receive and deliver data for the Securities and Fund Services clients that

securities professionals need to increase efficiency, reduce operating costs and improve

performance. We support NDM, MQ, NAS, sFTP, email as the communication

protocols.

Main Job duties :

Pre-development :

Gather requirements by interacting with business analysts and create a

development plan by taking into account the efforts required.

Design Dataflow diagram for new graphs.

Conduct design reviews with the inhouse Ab-Initio team of the Client.

Review the test plan with the QA team.

In-development :

Develop or enhance Ab-Initio graphs as per requirement.

Write or modify wrapper scripts in UNIX.

Create Autosys JILs and prepare System Integration Testing(SIT) test cases.

Analyze database changes and review the same with the data modeling team.

Post-development :

Analyze the User Acceptance Testing(UAT)/(Pre-PROD) run.

Handle data-checks and help resolve issues found by QA..

Prepare deployment plan and document the same.

Handle PROD deployment & job migration.

Ab-Initio skills :

Well familiar with the basic components like Reformat, Join, Roll-up, Join with

DB, FBE etc.

Knowledge of Ab-Initio software, architechture, application hub, Co-operating

system.

Experience of working on both batch as well as continuous graphs.

Experienced in working on Conduct>it Plans.

XML processing, Swift message processing.

Knowledge of shell scripting.

Training and Achievements :

Passed the NCFM modules : National Certification for Financial Markets and

Securities Markets basic module.

Computer based training on Ab-Initio basics from Ab-Initio corporation.

Trained couple of batches of new joinees in Ab-Initio basics.

Was in top 5 in the L&T Infotech training and induction programme.
