Summary:
I have been a Registered Polysomnography Technician since 2006 and have worked in sleep since 2001.
Expanding my knowledge and working with a team that is goal oriented is what I’m striving to achieve. I
am self motivated and am very comfortable working independently or with others. Quality patient care is

Professional Experience:
RPSGT – KC Veterans of America Hospital Kansas City, MO 05/2014 – present
Working as a fee based employee running nocturnal PSG, CPAP, BiPAP, and ASV studies as well as
sending patients home with the appropriate pressure of treatment and the correct CPAP mask.
Troubleshooting of any equipment problems as well as any patient issues. Scoring on the fly to ensure
accuracy of patients AHI.
RPSGT – Gloucester Neurology Gloucester, VA 09/2012 – 11/2013
Hook up and monitoring of nocturnal PSG, CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and EEG montages. Worked with
physicians in determining the most optimal therapeutic therapy for patients. Educated patient in CPAP
therapy, placement of wires and understanding the sleep study process. Kept the sleep lab fully stocked
and cleaned according to department guidelines. Scored every study on the fly and completed charts
upon ending of sleep study for the doctor to review.
RPSGT – Riverside Medical Center Newport News, VA 11/2012 – 11/2013
Monitored daytime studies such as PSG’s, MSLT’s and MWT’s. Scoring of previous nights sleep studies
as well as home sleep studies. Prepared preliminary reports for the doctors to review. Educated patients
in CPAP therapy and the setup of home sleep studies. Worked side by side with the office supervisor to
ensure the sleep lab met accreditation standards according to the AASM as well as the hospital.
RPSGT Supervisor – Overland Park Regional Medical Center Overland Park KS 11/2010 – 08/2012
Handling of technician and patient schedules. Problem solving any issues with patients, sleep studies,
medical and computer equipment, doctors concerns and technician concerns. Led monthly department
meetings to ensure quality patient care, ability to meet departmental and hospital goals, address
technician concerns, and provide CEU’s. Scoring of previous nights studies, producing preliminary
reports for doctors and monitoring of daytime PSG’s, MSLT’s, and MWT’s. Kept lab fully stocked with
medical supplies and equipment as well as accountability for yearly inventory. Worked side by side with
sleep center physicians to ensure optimal therapy for patients. Provided patient education regarding
proper mask fitting and therapeutic reasons for CPAP. Trouble shooting of patients existing CPAP,
BiPAP and ASV machines as well as pressure changes when prescribed by the physicians. Attended
seminars and meetings having to do with increasing management skills.
