1- Check with operator to see when

orders done

2- Clamp mold shut,kill power

3- Shut off all pumps,water,valves

4- Place eye in top of molds,Go get

overhead crane

5- Lower chains,Pull up slack.

Loosen all clamps

6- start pump,open mold,Move crane

right and left a few times

till ring breaks lose

7- Pull mold free and up/out, Now

ready for next mold

During my six years in the navy I worked in the

main engine room.

My job was to operate every pump/valve in the

engine room and I did

School and on the job training.

1- I had two pump I had to do (PMS) maintenance 60/90

days

500GPM-1200GPM

2- I worked and fixed gate/ globe/butterfly/check

valves

3- ran our first valve shop. Fix/sand blast

recondition and store all valve

for reuse

4-Pumps-remove pump housing,remove bearings,check

shaft,impeller blades

replace gasket reassemble pump,Test pump for

pressure,Put back in operation
