SUMMARY
For fourteen years, I worked in the publications department, starting as
a technical writer and ending as the manager. I have experience hiring,
managing employees, writing, editing, training, auditing, and managing a
department's budget.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Manager of Publications, Air Transport International, Wilmington, OH,
August 2007 - January 2014.
Managed the Publications department, including employees, equipment, and
budget.
Developed training courses for new aircraft and/or new equipment, manuals,
and procedures, including designing syllabi and PowerPoint presentations.
Implemented designed training courses by establishing initial and recurrent
training schedules, by composing end-of-class tests, and by teaching
training instructors.
Liaised for all documents passed between the company and the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA), as well as the company and Boeing.
Published and distributed all company manuals, including Maintenance,
Flight Operations, Ground Services, Safety & Security, Human Resources, and
Information Technology departments. Reviewed all manual revisions for
accuracy prior to publication.
Developed, drafted, formatted, edited, and reviewed new or changed material
for inclusion in the company's technical and training manuals and kept
manuals up-to-date by using supplied and researched data.
Managed the tracking of manuals issued to employees, maintenance
facilities, aircraft, and vendors. Ensured assigned manuals were kept
current.
Ensured manuals and documents were available in both paper and electronic
form. Ensured electronic copies of all manuals are protected for security.
Spearheaded the conversion of all manuals to interactive electronic format
for publication on the company website, in aircraft electronic flight bags,
and on interactive CD/DVDs.
Authored proposals for additional program approvals and new aircraft
certification, including the addition of 767 and 757 aircraft and the
addition of Extended-range Twin-engine Operation Performance Standards
(ETOPS) to ATI's certificate.
Administered the integration of Capital Cargo International Airline's
publications into Air Transport International's manual system during the
merger of CCIA with ATI.

Spearheaded the conversion of electronic manuals from microfiche tapes to
CD-Rom.
Completed the transition of manual tracking systems to online database.
