GPRS Based Station Name Announcement And Display For Train.

The Automatic Station announcement System is a GPS based

Display unit, mounted on the railway coaches. This Micro

controller based system collects the LON/LAT position of the

train every one second through the GPS receiver and computes

the distance of the next arriving station. When the train

approaches the next Station (Stop) and is within the few

KMs, the system will display the Next Approaching station,

thus alerting the passengers to get prepared to get down.
