Graduate Research Assistant: Department of Chemical, Paper, and Biomedical Engineering,

Miami University, Oxford, OH.

Participated in a project related with my MS thesi s. In this project we studied drug delivery

from keratin-based biomaterial scaffold. This laboratory was involved in the effects of five

commonly-used antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin, Cephazolin, Neomycin, Streptomycin, Bacitracin)

delivered via keratin-based biomaterial respectively against three of the most common

bacterial strains, including S. aureus(Gram-positive), P aeroginsa (Gram-negative), and F.

.

magna (Gram-positive, anaerobic) present in bacterial infections.

Participated in a project investigating bone morphogenetic protein-2 released from keratin-

based biomaterial scaffolds implanted over defects in mandibles of rat models.

Case Western Reserve University, Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering,
