Waste Water Treatment Manager
Operations and maintenance management of a 57 million gallon per day industrial wastewater treatment
facility in compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations (24 hr on
call). Responsible for maintaining treatment systems, performing operational maintenance, keeping
administrative records and providing a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and EPA.
Scope of responsibility includes monitoring storm water run off, managing sludge in compliance with
permit requirements and assisting with hazardous waste disposal (RCRA). Included is $1.8M in new
capital improvement projects: vertical pumps, clarifiers, retention pond, filter systems, lime transfer
systems, visual management, monitoring and control systems automation. Other responsibilities include
maintaining stock of chemicals and calibration of laboratory instruments, ensuring wastewater samples
are collected correctly, generating reports for the corporate office and regulatory agencies. Also,
implementing and managing Behavior Based Safety programs, conducting internal environmental and
HES field audits, as well as continuous improvement of key performance metrics.

Powerhouse and Mechanical Maintenance Manager for a 4 million ton capacity fully integrated steel
making facility with two blast furnaces. Responsible for two power plants; a 60 Megawatt facility that
supports rolling and slab operations and a 300,000 cfm wind powered system that supplies power to the
blast furnace operations. Manages a team of 41 skilled trades engaged in heavy mechanical
maintenance (breakdown, rebuild and preventive maintenance). Directs maintenance and installation of
mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (cranes, scrap handling equipment and other service
equipment). Champion reliability centered maintenance (RCM), total productive maintenance (TPM) and
empowerment. Principal products produced are hot rolled, cold rolled and coated sheet products, and
