• Develops operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing,

enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization,

inventory management, and shipping.

• Develops operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and

equipment layout and implements changes.

• Develop, implement and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the execution of operational

procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials

and inventory accuracy, and driving active safety programs.

• Develop, implement and direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property. Ensure a culture

of safety throughout the organization by following safety policies and procedures - monitor safety, physical security

and operational metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

• Accomplishes operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling,

coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising,

and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

• Inventory control / management - Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each area in the warehouse, direct

the inventory lead person and contribute to the development and implementation and direction of programs to ensure

inventory and asset security.

• Plan and lead daily activities of the maintenance department in the areas of safety, quality and maintenance.

• Ensure the administration of a sound preventative and predictive maintenance program which reduces unplanned

shutdowns and ultimately enhances overall reliability, profitability and product quality.

• Promote efficient cost-effective maintenance by fostering, planning and scheduling and an efficient workflow. Update

indices and communicate work progress, safety incidents, unusual activities, exceptions, overtime, call-outs, absences,

opportunities and any other work stoppage or issue that might arise.

PURCHACING / CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Develop and maintain good supplier relationships to support the company's cost controls and asset utilization.

• Responsible for managing multiple suppliers for like materials and services.

• Receive competitive bids, negotiate pricing, and maintain compliance with the company's purchasing policy.

• Purchase materials and services for other department and/or divisions as directed by the department manager.

• Assist with capital project implementation and special projects as assigned.

• Provide quotes to customers relating to repair costs.

• Promote the sale and implementation of service agreements to customers.

• Consults with customers to convey information effectively so the job can be completed in the manner it should be.

• Follow-up with customers to ensure equipment is running correctly.

• Communicate effectively to diverse groups of individuals.

• Demonstrated customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a team member,

interfacing well with others.

TRAINING / SAFETY

• Ensure the well being of self and all employees in the facility. Proactively address all safety concerns. Actively

participate in the plant safety program.

• Develop and review work safety plans with the Maintenance Team to assure that all safety issues are addressed and

understood so that team members work in a safe and productive manner.

• Design, monitor, and maintain a safe working environment through compliance of safety programs.

• Interact with trades and hazard teams on how a job will be performed, assessing scope of work, analyzing the hazards

and implementing the controls on how to work safely.

• Responsible for safety and housekeeping for proper operation of equipment.

• Train employees in assigned areas, and provide schedules for leaders.

• Write, Interprets and document test results, identify complex problems, and suggest solutions.

• Knowledge of food safety with GMP’s SOP’s practices.

TECHNICAL / COMPUTER

• Assist with programming and timing issues on equipment.

• Communicate with other departments to report and resolve system software, hardware, and operations problems.

• Install and test new and upgraded system software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid

the user in performing their job.

• Enter, update, and complete information through daily updating of all issue tracking documents and the Help Desk

software.

• Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.

• Provide written and verbal reports, fills out preventative maintenance requests, deficiency reports, and work orders

using a personal computer.

• Experienced working with Software includes Windows, Microsoft, Excel, Power Point, and Computerized Maintenance

Management (CMMS) programs such as MP2, Krnoes, Halogen, Infor and Sprocket.

ELECTRICAL

• Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s, VFD’s and control circuits.

• Experience working on electric utility type systems/equipment.

• Perform maintenance and repair on AC/DC transformers, power circuit breakers, PLC's, servos, encoders, motor

controls, variable drives, motors, starters, relays, sensors, switches and control panels.

• Familiar with HMI’s, Wonder ware, and PLC’s.

• Wire equipment using both 110- 480 VAC/DC configurations including motors, starters, relays, sensors, switches, and

control panels.

• Perform switching of the electric utility distribution system to isolate components, de-energize equipment.

• Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and OSHA Safety Regulations.

• Read 1-lines, 3-line diagrams and circuit breaker control prints and electronic schematics.

MECHANICAL

• Industrial maintenance and repairs on refrigeration, boilers, fire system, HVAC, waste water, vacuum pumps,

centrifuges, decanters, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits and equipment.

• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and

repair of equipment and machines.

• Monitor and test fire prevention equipment.

• Complete tear down and rebuild of over head industrial equipment, including various hoists, gearboxes and controllers.

• Maintain and repair food processing equipment such as glycol and ammonia systems, cream churns, presses, pumps,

butter printers, casers, palletizes, wrappers and conveyers.

• Complete tear down and rebuild of food processing and packaging equipment.

• Trouble-shoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment to ensure maximum

performance.

• Maintain and repair all food and beverage industrial equipment, Including conveyors, palletizers, depalletizers,

evaporators, coolers and maintaining the operation of the production line.
