Administrative Assistant - Office Services Specialist

Career Summary - Significant experience in a self-directed position

requiring administrative, technical and customer service skills. I am

actively looking for a position in the Administrative/ Clerical field.

Strengths include:

Administration - Successfully ran an office with a remote manager. This

included managing the workload, billing, setting and tracking appointments,

updating inventories, accounts receivable with daily deposits, and daily

reporting.

Technical - Proficient in MS Word and Excel and adapt easily to additional

systems as required.

Customer Service - Dealt with the public in a variety of settings which

Served as an Office Services Specialist II. Managed an office with no

onsite manager. My responsibilities included the daily operation and work

flow as well as the timely reporting of all office activities.

Specifically, my duties were to interview and register patients for various

health programs. This included verifying personal, financial, and

demographic information to determine eligibility. Then helped patients

exit from the clinics, verified services rendered and determined charges.

My duties also included the daily deposits, accounts receivable reporting,

collecting and posting payments to patient accounts. Dealing with patients

meant that the correct procedures and diagnostic codes were needed and

applied.

If time permitted I often updated patient insurance information in advance.

This saved time and helped to keep the office running smoothly.

In addition to working with patients my duties encompassed other areas

including well, septic, and restaurant permits. I was also responsible for

the office and medical supply inventory. And as a Deputy Registrar for

vital statistics I assigned control numbers to death certificates and

issued certified copies to eligible applicants.
