* Duration: January 2014 - April 2014

* Technical Head of a project. Dealt with project technical difficulties and learned working with software ?OPNET Modeler?

* Student dorm lacks IP Telephony infrastructure. Our task was to examine the possibility to install the IP Telephony in student dorms considering various factors like traffic, throughput, delay and cost using OPNET Modeler

* Using OPNET Modeler designed data, voice and mobile network of each floor for six dorms. Each dorm consists of four floors with approx. 20 students/ floor. Approximate students in six dorms were 480

* Generated traffic in OPNET Modeler and gathered statistics like traffic, throughput, and delay

* Analyzed the current network performance and network performance after adding IP Telephony in the network in OPNET Modeler

* Interconnected six dorms in OPNET Modeler and ran simulations

* Market researched products model and cost for devices like routers, switches, access points, IP phones and cables

* Provided conclusion to project coordinator considering OPNET Modeler limitations, analyzing network performance, cost and maintenance
