UNDERWRITING MANAGEMENT

• Senior Credit Officer and mentor for 800 lending managers and underwriters nationwide

in the Home Equity Portfolio Lending Division.

• Lead a staff of senior underwriters and lending officers with the highest level of lending

authority in the Portfolio Credit Division

• Granted underwriting authority up to $2,500,000.00 and executive level exception

authority.

• Act as second level review for Affluent Underwriting Group; specifically catering to

banking clients with deposit relationships >$1,000,000.00.

• Provide guidance to senior management regarding credit policy trends, recommendations

for adjustments and updates to credit policy, and underwriting authority.

• Reverse portfolio credit decisions where necessary; ensuring corrective action on

exceptions and problems; reviewing related operations for adherence to procedures.

• Conduct training on credit policy, risk assessment analysis, exception and decision

methodology, and tax return analysis.

• Specialize in portfolio lending, super jumbo, non-conforming, and home equity products.

Additional underwriting experience in conforming, sub-prime, and FHA.

UNDERWRITING RISK MANAGEMENT

• Extensive experience manually underwriting complex and escalated loans.

• Review requests for decision overrides, policy exceptions and escalated issues related to

portfolio and portfolio home equity products.

• Monitor first payment and early payment defaults for loss delinquency and fraud.

• Concentrated investigations on specific loan portfolios for wholesale and correspondent

lending; determine loss and fraud trends that could negatively impact business.

• Review all loan repurchase requests from investors that would warrant repurchase of

suspect loan transactions with internal and external loan portfolios.

• Analyze fraud findings to determine extent of fraud and level of risk.

• Coordinate reports for senior management; reviewing and analyzing trends in current

population distributions; recommends procedural changes to prevent/mitigate loss.
