Project description:

The objective of this project is to create a new data warehouse (CRS) for

The Bank of New York Mellon Customers. The new data warehouse CRS (Customer

Reporting System) is developed by sourcing data from two systems.

. Legacy Bank of New York data warehouse COD (Custody Operational Data

warehouse)

. Heritage Mellon custody and accounting systems CMS (Custody Management

System) and IAS (Institutional Accounting System)

CRS is built to store data necessary for generating drill-down reports

which provide cash & custody data. CRS is now renamed to CIW (Client

Information Warehouse). CIW will initially be populated by only legacy COD

system and will eventually be integrated by Mellon's custody & accounting

source systems.

Project 1.2 : BNYM-EECS-CIW-BAU-ETL

Role: Senior ETL Developer

Project description:

The new data warehouse named- Client information Warehouse (CIW) has been

developed for Bank of New York Mellon Customers for generating Cash &

Custody reports by sourcing data from two systems.

The objectives of this project are

. Add modules (MQ-CASCADE, MUTUAL FUND ) into CIW for the new business

Integrate IAS, CMS into CIW

. Modifying the existing modules as business change

. Modifying the Existing code to load data into both Db2 and Oracle Exadata

databases

Project 1.3 : BNYM-FUND ACCOUNTING

Role: ETL Lead

Project description:

The objectives of this project are,

. Create a new Subsystem named Fund Accounting System (FA) under CIW to

load the data for Invest one reporting system.

. Get the Source data from the SunGard Accounting system and load into CIW-

Fund Accounting systems with business logic for generating Invest one-

workbench reports.

Tools and DB Used : Informatica Powercenter, Power exchange ( 9.1),

Oracle Exadata, IBM Webshere MQ, IBM- ESB-Message Broker Toolkit

Responsibilities/Contributions:

-Creating Low Level Design documents based on High Level Design documents.

-Done in depth data Analysis to see what kind of data present in source and

how they should to be loaded into the target.

-Involved in Data modeling of many projects.

-Created mapping with various type of sources and targets ( XML, Flat file, MQ, CDC, VSAM, DB, Web service ).

-Creating CDC Registrations for Real time data.

-Creating PWX data maps to fetch data from the Mainframe Files.

-Creating UNIX scripts to run workflows and to maintain Real time workflows

Dependency.

-Developed mappings in Informatica to load the Real time data using PWX

source along with normal sources. Also developed mappings which involve

Mainframe file data extraction using PWX Data maps.

-Created ETL design and mapping flow for highly complex requirements.

-Troubleshooting the problems by checking various logs.

-Involved in unit testing and Integration Testing.

-Involved in UAT Support.

-Involved in Peer reviews of LLDs, mappings, Sessions and PWX data maps.
