Projects

Designing and Optimization of Progressive Die

It was my final year project accomplished with the help of some die design

professionals in Germany, Russia and India.

The main theme was to reduce the Tonnage required by keeping the better quality

of sheet metal part.

The FEA helped to find out the SCPs and thickness variations.

Simulation and animation of Die was new in the project which not only helped to find

out the dynamic interference during the while process but also visualize the whole

process of sheet metal deformation.

Study of BIOGASS plant at DARSON industries

The main task was to find out the operational and design defects in the current biogass plant

and improve the pressure loss so that steam presses can work properly. Our team designed

some modifications in plant by implementation the pressure improve from 3.2 psi to 5.5 psi

Improvement in the design of UAV with the help of CAD and FEA

During the project of my seniors, I was to design the same prototype of predator (USA

manufactured UAV) but by improving the design by optimizing it for more load caring

capacity.

Design and Fabrication of LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer), a level measuring

instrument

As a semester project it was a fun to use SolidWORKS 2013 for modeling and FEA techniques

in instrumentation and control using COMSOL 4.2 for analysis of magnetics.

Design and analysis of concept car

It was a job assigned by a community organized by our teachers named as R.E.T.A. (Rachna

engineering and technical assistance). Main purpose was to provide a design for the first car

of PAKISTAN which is not only power savor but also stylish enough so that people feel

captivating.

Design of concept UAV and analysis of its efficiency

This was the task assigned by the RC plane hobbyist Mr. Ben from Italy. He want to start a

new business of RC toys and want some unusual design which should be unique as well.

Design and Analysis of Injection Mold

The main theme was to develop some understanding among the designers of Pakistan

(specially Gujranwala) about the method and some important points during the design of

injection molds. The by-product of this project was also to introduction of latest softwares like

SolidWORKS 2013, Creo 2.0, ZW3D and NX 8.0.

Recent Projects

1- Working with MSc student for his final year project of pressure vessel. I am working on

modeling and analysis of pressure vessel including the designing for optimal design.

2- Working with students of electrical engineering for their final year project of hexapod

robot. My task was 3D modeling and analysis including simulation and animation of

motion and other dynamics.

3- Worked on the improvement of energy efficiency of “ Tandoor ” conventionally

known as a cooking range with Waseem Engineering Company.

4- Worked on the Designing and Finite Element Analysis of different turbines for the

fusibility of a Dam on a canal near campus.

5- Worked with students of Malaysia University for a famous project exhibition named as

TedX. The main task was to design a ship along with capability to collect garbage not

only from the surface of sea but also from the certain depth of sea.
