30 years including Wild-Land, structural (Civil) and petrol/chemical. Service includes volunteer, paid-on call, and full-time

(Alyeska Fire/Rescue), Valdez, Alaska.

Career Highlights:

Served 5 weeks as a single resource medic on the ?Clear Creek Complex Fire? Salmon, Idaho in the summer of 2000, this

was a Type 1 wildfire incident that involved more than 200,000 acres of forest, structures, and resources. The fire was 22

miles long and 9 miles wide, several structures were destroyed and lives were lost. This was a multi- agency event that

included Federal, State and local resources under a unified command until the incident was turned over to a ?Type 1

Incident Management Team This was the largest incident that I have served on.

?Strategic Plan? for Central Emergency Services of Soldotna, Alaska. The primary benefit of this effort was the re-

structuring of the departments ?Policies and Procedures? manual. Essentially this document eliminated duplication of

policies and procedures as well as combining a uniform format both in design and text. New polices were developed that

eliminated out dated policies or procedures, some existing policies were kept or rewritten to suit the needs of an modern

firefighting organization that also better suited the ever changing needs of the public for emergency services.
