Design Engineer

Design a metal plate clamps and pipe enclosure to seal the leaking section of the pipes, line

flanges, valve end flanges, Orifice flanges, Durco valves, Roll patches for vessels as per ASME

section VIII div I.

Selection of appropriate material (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, alloys) as per ASME section II

part D for enclosures and clamps based on the type of service, temperature and pressure.

Design a Strong back to prevent the separation of enclosure due to the pipe worsening condition,

due to hydraulic thrust caused by bore difference.

Design special enclosures that enclose valves that need to be operated while being enclosed.

Design also needs to account for ease during fabrication while ensuring the optimum design.

Sealant selection is based on compatibility of service, temperature, pressure.

Create 2D drawings of clamps and enclosure using AUTO CAD.

Designing enclosures with reliability by minimizing the cost of fabrication.

Clients include DOW, Exxon Mobil, BASF, C.F. Industries, Axiall, Phillips66, FORMOSA,

Shell, Motiva and Georgia Gulf.

Day to day inventory of materials, filing and documentation of MTRs, WPS and PQRs for QC

Department and update status to clients and their inspectors while ensuring that deadlines are met.
