Data/ETL developer

SunTrust Mortgage consolidation project was carried out by SunTrust to integrate and standardize data from

different sources on Teradata plat form. The purpose of the project was to provide a consistent and integrated

view of the mortgage business from the loan origination to the serving system by creating an integrated

database system.

Responsibilities

I imported Source tables from the respective flat files and relational database systems and created reusable

transformations (Joiner, Routers, Lookups, Rank, Filter, Expression and Aggregator) inside a mapplet and

created new mappings using Designer module of Informatica Power Center to implement the business logic and

to load the customer financial data incrementally and in full into the target database.

• Created Complex mappings using Unconnected Lookup, and Aggregate and Router transformations for

populating target table in an efficient manner.

• Used Shortcuts (Global/Local) to reuse objects without creating multiple objects in the repository and inherit

changes made to the source automatically.

• Worked on SQL tools like SQL Plus/MS SQL Visual studio/Teradata assistance to run SQL queries and

validate the data.

• Extensively work on the performance tuning of Informatica PowerCenter Mappings as well as the tuning of

the sessions by creating multiple sessions on primary key values by using partition query.
