As Deputy Director and Project Management Manager, I presently lead more than 2,000 Marines,
Sailors, Civilians and Appellants in the management, oversight and execution of all aspects of the
N AMA LA’s mission to include administering and management in the centralized t racking of all
Navy and Marine Corps personnel placed on involuntary appellate leave; and members assigned by
t he Naval Clemency and Parole Board to parole or supervised release while expediting the discharge
p rocess; and to perform such other functions and tasks as directed. I participate in high level
meetings with agency senior officials, Departmental officials and senior leaders from other federal,
s tate and international counterpart agencies. I provide advice and guidance to senior level leaders
on internal security and integrity related matters and lead briefings of critical issues with the
potential for national and international implications. Major accomplishments include:
• Serving as the subject matter expert for all correctional appellants within the Navy and
M arine Corps while monitoring the case status of members on involuntary appellate leave and
members assigned to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (Ft. Leavenworth) who are waiting the
results of appellate review.
• Execute punitive discharges when approved and as directed by Navy Judge Advocate General
(JAG) and effect clemency granted by the Naval Clemency and Parole Board.
• Senior Operating Leader with sole responsibility of all aspects of planning and managing
personnel and the appellate population averaging over 300 people on a monthly basis.
• Execute and manage budget of $100,000 that led efforts to save $30,000 in savings annually by
maximizing temporary additional duty, video teleconferencing, direct connect on-line t raining
and negotiating shared cost with headquarters.

Corrections Management Information System (CORMIS) by often using Navy and Marine

i n Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT) analysis, brain-storming and focus group
sessions, and using Delphi technique to gather expert inputs, research questionnaires in NJIS
replacing CORMIS by 2018.

Department of the Navy (DON) statistical data on criminal offenses and other high-interest
issues, such as suicides, fraternization, drug abuse, sexual assault, and sexual harassment
