Security Guard

Responsibilities

Was responsible for logging in and out, vehicles and visitors as well as personel at a well know chemical

refinery. Everyone under went a thurough security check before passing through the main gate. I was also

responsible for frequent perimiter checks throughout my shift by foot as well as a computer montor. Was

required to report any spills of chemical substances from vehicles and or trucks as they entered the premises,

and report to supervisor on call.

Accomplishments

I was very dependable and flexible to the hours given me and at times was available to do double shifts due

to the absence of a fellow guard. My keen sense of attention allowed me to spot an intruder climbing a fence

gaining access to the facility. The incident was reported and the on call supervisor arrived on the scene and

apprehended the gentleman on the spot.

Skills Used

I demonstrated the utmost respect for any and all people I came in contact with. Being a people person I

can act as a buffer to different personalities diffusing negative outcomes. Always greeting customers, fellow

employees and visitors with a smile and ready to serve.

Responsibilities

Worked in kitchen with Pastry chef helping to prepare dessert trays and platters for

delivery and or parties to be catered. Was temporary work when needed for busy

seasons. Sometimes assisted in flower deliveries and worked in wrapping station preparing

plants and flowers for transportation.

Accomplishments

Learned to create beautiful dessert trays while interacting with the chefs, as well as properly

packaging items for safe transport to the customer. Again a great learning experience.

Assisted elderly and handicapped customers with shopping when needed. Returned un-purchased

merchandise to shelves.

I enhanced my communication skills while learning new ones. It was an opportunity to get

to know the people in the community while providing a service that was very full filling.
