Responsibilities

Assist physicians with minor procedures, measuring vitals, administer medications and injections, refilling

medication as directed, perform ekg's, collecting blood and or specimens, and contact insurance companies

to obtain prior authorizations for medication.

Accomplishments

From starting in medical records department working with charts and computers, then to scheduling

appointments and collecting copays I gradually worked my way from front office to back office as a Medical

assistant. Less than a year later I was able to work as an Lvn working with seven physician's and also in the

laboratory.

Skills Used

Being the only Lvn working in the clinic, I would administer medications that the medical assistants could not

administer.
