Operates and maintains Fire Alarm System and related equipment (Genetec

Surveillance Monitoring System); monitors and maintains the condition of

all exits and paths of egress, such as cleanliness, lighting and general

appearance

Maintains general condition of the Fire Command Center; generate files and

accurate incident reports; investigates all incidents; conducts records and

review all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual testing's and inspection per

code.

Provide coverage at all required times; reviews all daily logs to ensure

that proper procedures are being followed; ensures that all fire safety

equipment and system are operational and system information is current;

Schedule shift coverage and posts instructions.

Maintains Fire Department Log books as specified by Local Law No.5 & 26;

conducts required Fire Department testing for fire prevention/protection;

Trains EAP Fire Deputy Wardens, Searchers and Building Fire Brigade;

manages the Fire / Deputy Wardens sign-in logs and Organization Charts

electronically;

Schedule and conducts all building Fire/EAP drills; direct evacuation

procedures; provide pertinent information to the fire department during

emergencies and routine visits/inspections;

Provides monthly inspections all Fire extinguishers, range hood

extinguishing systems; and the elevator Recall Phase I and Firemen Service

Phase II testing; conducts communication testing of systems with central

station; semi-annual testing of signaling systems and initiating devices

per code;

Emergency Action Plan Coordinator

Solid understanding of the proper procedures for adherence in the event of

emergency; shelter in-place, in-building relocation, partial and full

evacuations; effectively achieving occupant safety by reducing panic,

confusion and possibility of personal injuries.

Ensures that procedures of assigned assembly locations and emergency escape

routes are adequately followed by employees; as well as employees who

remains at the site to operate critical operations prior to evacuations;

accounts for all employees after the emergency evacuation has been

completed

Provides EAP instructional drills for employees, reinforced protocols for

primary and alternate stairwell evacuations; including tabletop discussions

regarding emergency announcements or situations
