The project involved migrating two of the major brands of 1800Flowers Inc.,

namely, 1-800-flowers.com and 1-800-Baskets.com from their legacy system

(Java/J2EE application) to IBMs WebSphere Commerce platform. 1-800-Flowers

Inc. is already in process of developing a common portal for their sister

brands called as GFGB brands which included Cheryls.com,

ThePopcornFactory.com and FannieMay.com into a single website experience.

Sep 2012, we successfully released the 3 GFGB brands (www.cheryls.com,

www.thepopcornfactory.com, www.fanniemay.com) on WebSphere Commerce, and on

September, 2013, we released 1800flowers.com also in Commerce.

Worked on following projects in 1-800-FLOWRS.COM:

Project: Prime Passport Member Registration

Senior WCS Developer

Responsibilities:

. Team player, development.

. Here, we maintained few separate parameters including start date and end

date of prime membership to distinguish prime users.

. Worked on the entire flow of this functionality to complete it in a

single sprint as we followed agile methodology.

. Added functionality, when user tries to register as a prime member

through the Prime registration widget, he/she will get registered as a

normal user, and the prime membership item gets added to cart. And once

the user places the order for prime membership item, he/she becomes a

prime user.

. Involved in Production deployments.

. Worked on fixing defects.

Project: Online Order Tracking

Responsibilities:

. Involved in creating data model for custom tables.

Project: Delivery Calendar

Responsibilities:

. Involved in creating and modifying data model.

. Worked with functional team to understand requirements.

. Here, the functionality was that the user will be displayed dates (along

with service charge), on which the products are available to be delivered

based on zipcode entered by user.

. The user will then have to select a delivery date which will be stored as

the promised available date for the sku.

. Worked on fixing the defects.

. Knowledge on Web Services(using SOAP).

. Build and deployment of the application in DEV and QA environments.

For the past 2-3 months I've been also working in Production Support, where

I've been directly interacting with client, collecting information on their

concerns and drilling down the issues existing in production.

TEG is an internal project team in TCS, responsible for creating reusable

assets that can be shared/reused across multiple commerce engagements and

schedules.

Project: Customizing User Preferences in User Registration

Functionality:- Check boxes - 'Peanut Free', 'Gluten Free' will be provided

in User Registration Page. If a user checks 'Peanut Free', 'Gluten Free'

check boxes during registration, then only Peanut Free and Gluten Free

products will be displayed for that user while navigating through the site.

Products will be set 'Peanut Free' or 'Gluten Free' through management

center by business users.
