Ability to work under heavy pressure and meet short deadlines.

Complete understanding of manufacturing process from raw material to assembly.

FMEA

Spaghetti Diagrams and their direct utilization to achieve SMED.

I established and implemented a new CAD/CAM software to allow more control and better flexibility to our

programming department. This implementation allowed us to efficiently program parts that were previously outsourced and

were unable to be efficiently programmed.

I was responsible for 5-S project to reduce setup time on a roller burnish skive machine. The end result of this project was a

reduction in setup time from 1.5 hours to 45 minutes, saving over $20,000 in setup costs and in turn, improved production by

relieving a bottleneck in our shop.

Was first to implement the use of setup carts at the machines that incorporated all necessary equipment for a complete

changeover; this process reduced overall setup times an average of 15%. These are now being used throughout the shop.

Established quick change jaws in our Parts Cell reducing jaw changeover by over 40%.

Designed two-piece jaw system to allow manufacturing of previously outsourced baseplate. This allowed us to produce

these as needed and control inventory.

I directed the implementation of a fully automated tooling/MRO vending system that took our company to the next

level in MRO/Consumable tooling control allowing us to report on usages down to hourly consumption per operator. This

implementation saved over 12% on a $350,000 annual tooling budget.

I was responsible for cost saving studies on tooling, purchasing and implementing new tooling, 5-S projects, and

composing Standard Operating Procedures where needed

Consulted tooling representatives and tested tooling to improve product output and reduce cycle times.

Established and maintained program setup sheets to reduce setup times.

Wrote SOPs for required operations/machinery.

groove gauges, and many more.
