Project Manager

Primary contact for gathering trader requests, analyzing the impact and monitoring the implementation

of changes to the proprietary trading system. Work with team of developers, business analysts and

technical writers to develop project plans(work scope, task descriptions, budget estimates and

resource requirements) to meet business objectives. Monitor implementation of connectivity to various

financial exchanges to ensure timely completion within budget and achieve high quality output.

Expansion to Australia

• Managed the successful expansion of trading activity to the newly opened location in

Australia. Successfully coordinated with trading and networking team to ensure there

was no delay in the project and making sure management was regularly updated with

the progress

• Managed team of 5 developers to make sure the exchange specific code was ready and

thoroughly tested before going to production

• Realized cost savings of around 50K per year by suggesting utilizing the same socket for

Project Manager

Worked directly with the chief risk officer in managing a team of developers and analysts. Responsible

for architecting, designing and monitoring the development of various technology tools to monitor and

manage risk for the entire company.

• Significantly streamlined the overnight batch processing to reduce the processing time

from 14 hours to 8 hours.

• Architected and managed the development effort to develop a client reporting

infrastructure for the entire company resulting in a cost saving of 100K. Design was

flexible to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports and aggregate the data in various

different ways.

• Monitored the development and successful rollout of a real time risk monitoring service

to allow traders to actively manage portfolio risk. Provided ability to measure risk across

various metrics like fund group or by country. Front end was developed using MarkIT

and the backend was analytic library developed in C/C++.

Sr. Software Engineer

• Developed a currency option tool to aid traders to determine their exposure due to

currency options, currency forwards and futures. Tool can also be used to determine

various hedging strategies across portfolios or strategies. Tool was flexible to compute

the net exposures across various strategies and in various currencies.

• Developed a risk arbitrage deal monitor to calculate the spreads of event arbitrage

deals. Had the ability to alert user whenever deal spread goes above or below user

defined critical values.

• Developed a mechanism to download financial data from MarkIT and use it to compute

and store the spread of all Credit Default Swaps held in the portfolio

• Developed a portfolio pricer to price various financial instruments held in the portfolio.

Design process involved interacting with various portfolio managers to determine the

models used for computation and providing options to traders to aggregate and view the

information in various ways.
