Description: Phenol from waste water is adsorbed using low cost adsorbents like

banana peel powder and tea waste and we found tea waste to be effective in

removing phenol.

Title: Energy Recovery from Organic Waste

Description: Using Organic Waste we have generated Bioelectricity i.e. by using

microbial fuel cells and also we have done Production of hot water that is by

preparing compost bed and utilizing the heat of bed with help of heat exchanger

which we have designed.

Secured first Place in Paper Presentation at "Rasayan 2011" the National Level

Technical symposium held at MSRIT Bangalore conducted on 20th and 21st of

April.

Placed 3rd in National level Paper presentation "React-2011" held at

R.V.Collage of Engineering Bangalore.

Secured 2nd place in Model building conducted during "INSIGNIA'12" a National

level techno cultural fest held at SDMCET, Dharwad.

Secured 2nd place in Poster Presentation conducted during "INSIGNIA'12" a

National level techno cultural fest held at SDMCET, Dharwad

Participated in One day National Workshop on "Energy Sustenance towards a

Better Environment" held at SDMCET, Dharwad on 25th September 2009.
