ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Project: Analysis of boiler on shell structure to increase its efficiency.

Duration: 1 year.

Software Used: ABAQUS.

Concept Used: Finite Element Analysis ( FEM).

Description:

The project consisted of two part s, in first part we theoretically ( on the base of formulas) tested

the design of boiler shell to check the peak stress concentration applied on it by the internal

pressure of steam with various other data provided by the industry. And i n the second part we

virtually (with the help of software) tested the design of boiler shell, so that we can get

conditions tested,as near to real processes,to tally and confirm results of first part, software was

based on the concept of FEM.
