Uptown PR – Account Executive November 2012-Present
• Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of clients’ business,
industry trends and competitive environments.
• Focus on actively cultivating and maintaining relationships with media at the local and national level.
• Assist in business development by collaborating on proposals, evaluating potential clients and developing
new agency competencies.
• Responsible for creating brand awareness and supporting marketing opportunities for client accounts by
way of press releases, pitching and marketing materials.
• Create and execute digital and social media initiatives (e.g., Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Plan, promote and execute both client and agency events.
Team Gleason Foundation– Intern May 2012 -November 2012
• Worked with PR team on outreach for the opening of The Team Gleason House for Innovative Living
(one of two facilities in the U.S. designed to fit the needs of ALS patients).
• Drafted acknowledgement and annual stewardship letters for donors.
• Collaborated with Executive Director in the development of a local fundraising strategy, plan and budget.
• Assisted in planning and executing two major fundraising events that raised over $100,000 and had an
attendance of 2,000+.
• Provided support and input for foundation activities during weekly executive board meetings.
Kappa Delta Sorority – Leadership Development Consultant June 2011-May 2012
• Chosen as one of seven graduating college seniors nationwide to represent non-profit organization of
more than 230,000 members. (one year contract)
• Traveled to 15 different states and built relationships with university administrators, organization
representatives and undergraduate members to improve overall chapter operations and public relations.
• Produced and delivered more than 50 presentations to more than 5,000 undergraduates on topics
including leadership, recruitment, conflict resolution and community service.
• Prospected more than 200 women and developed, recruited and trained a new chapter of 90 members.
• Worked with collegiate chapter officers and national volunteers to formulate action plans and goals in the
areas of chapter excellence, which include membership, philanthropy, social success, academic
excellence and leadership.
• Evaluated and reported 30 chapter visits to national headquarters, divisional leadership team, collegiate
chapters and university administration.
